Ernest L. "Ernie" Adams, 73, a resident of the Portland community, died Friday afternoon, September 10, 2021 at Providence St. Vincent's Medical Center. ERNEST LYNN ADAMS was born October 13, 1947 in Tillamook County, Oregon, the son of the late Van Cecil Adams and Lillie Mae Wheatley. His family moved often and he attended many schools in coastal towns of Oregon as well as White Salmon Washington. As an adult he pursued many interests and was a lifelong student at the Portland State University, having majored in Political Science, Dance, and Acting. Ernest worked as an actor and entertainer for many years. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild as well as the Oregon Media Production Association where he enjoyed serving on committees and contributing to the success of the organizations. Among his special interests, were sports cars and acting and connecting with his community. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Van and Lillie Adams, and by his sisters, Ida Luttrell and Janice Coates. Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Tammy Sherwood, Ken Luttrell, Don Luttrell, Mike Luttrell, and Kathy Campbell.
